I honestly don't understand it. How can ANR fall again, so brief and quick this time? It's just absurd in my own mind. Now, I know that the Top Administrators of the roleplay took a break, but does it mean that we have to? No, it doesn't.
After Tambourine posted that she was leaving for a bit, ANR has been falling. And I don't mean bit by bit, I mean entire Clans have ceased to even come online to see if there's even a shred of ANR left. I understand that many people do have lives outside of the computer. If you believe that you cannot come on daily and role-play on your character, then why did you bother joining? Vacations are just fine - I just returned from a two-day vacation to Sea World, and told some people about it so I didn't just vanish into the blue.
But look at the Absence Board. I don't see 40 excuses about the whole inactivity of ANR. Duckei worked hard to make us a new map- and as soon as we stepped foot into the damn thing, ANR just blows itself up and goes inactive! Is this your way of thanking Duckei, Tambourine, and Llama? By having them form a plot, make an entirely new map, and have the decency to remake the great role-play ANR once was; I say that's more than we can repay.
Just look at ANR now. I remember only a week ago there were over thirty pupils in the map, and many were scouring the website. Now, I feel ashamed to even look at the pitiful number people who are online. Maybe a few spare eight come on, but really? Eight? I remember we were up to the rare 40's! Guys, only because we shifted and half of the plot has been completed doesn't mean that the RP has been stopped. I can hardly even type up a few mangy words before everyone in the bloody map leaves.
Administrators, really, take a deep look into this thread. Yell at me, if you will, about ridiculing you all, but it was much needed. I know you worked hard to remake ANR, but it's crumbling right before your feet. If you were really faithful, and ensured that you would run this role-play until the day Feral-Heart itself shuts down, you wouldn't leave it to turn to dust and rot with those who come on daily trapped inside of it. I've a shred of independence that tells me that this is wrong. If the new administrators don't want to take charge, shift this rusting gear back into action, then no one will. Do you randomly expect someone from the sides to leap up and take charge? More than half of the time, no one bothers to even take a look at such superiority.
Think about the word stardust. Just for a moment, ponder on what you think it may mean. Perhaps it's just a white pile of dust that litters the floor, unseen by any human eye? Wrong. Stardust is the energy that those who have a great sense of right and wrong have deep within them. They know when something has gone terribly wrong, and would do many things to help bring that fallen tree back to its former glory. I haven't seen any of that for ANR in the past few days; the last days of jeopardy.
So, what now, you may ask? I say that all those loyal Administrators and Moderators could step up the game.
There are many, many role-plays out there nowadays, and we're falling because of it. People don't want to spend their time ambling around a map that doesn't have another user on it, and so, they seek other sources of entertainment. ANR used to be the highlight of it all, drawing those bored, dull lives into its open arms. And now what have we done? Shut out doors and left all those who we openly recruited dwandle in such dark closure? I hope and pray that's not what we've done, because when I heard word that ANR was going to be re-made, I nearly went out and yelled my commendation for its new foundation.
That rhymed. Heh.
Now, what are you going to do? Are you just going to SIT back and watch ANR fall? Watch it fall in beside the fallen role-plays that once were powerful in the past? Or will you step up your game and help it restore back into what it was when the plot was in full throttle? I am definitely not going to be a lazy Moderator and read this post with ill intention. I am hoping that perhaps one or two will stand beside me and make a stand against what ANR has become in such short time.
