The anxious, mottled tortoiseshell followed briskly after the alabaster Tom cat. Although, to her warey notice, the young fae couldn't help but continuously spot the tom glance from behind him with his beaming, silver pools. In her defense, Turtlepaw would promptly pretend to be squishing her paws in the constant puddles of mud. It was quite amusing at first, but after awhile's work of walking and hearing the occasional, "squish", sound, it got quite annoying. Too her surprise, the two felines had finally managed to make their way to the entrance of the training hollow. At last, the eager apprentice could train. Feeling a bubble of joy burst in her very stomach, the popped bubble immediately turned into an ominous pit by the time the Tom cat crawled his way upon a tree, and swung himself atop a sturdy branch. Without a heart beats' thought, Turtlepaw blurted out. "So /now/ you feel like it."

He merely grinned in response to her comment, tail swishing in a panther-like motion underneath his body. "You seem to observe what I do and don't feel like doing rather carefully, Turtlepaw." The statement, in and of itself, was unintentionally flirtatious. Jaggedstone's brow furrowed as he considered what they may start with. She was nearing the end of their training, so simple instructions on how to hunt and crouch would be an insult to her intelligence. He felt the same way in his own apprenticeship. So, without further adieu, the blue-point made to try something new. Leaning forward on the branch, his next words wore a supple purr. "Close your eyes." Checking to see she'd done so, the young warrior made his way about the clearing by leaping quietly, and occasionally not so quietly, from branch to branch. Soon, he'd circled the entire training hollow several times, and had come to rest a few trees to the left of where he'd started. His scent was everywhere, and his body was completely immersed in shadow cast by the broad elm under which he had landed. In a way, he was playing a game. Without specific direction, he hoped she'd be able to tell what was going on. /Come find me, little mouse/. Jaggedstone's obsidian mouth was touched by a coy, teasing smile as he waited, anxiously, betwixt several prickly branches.

The elder apprentice's pale green eyes widened greatly. Parting her muzzle ever so slightly to retort to the tom's comment, she felt herself close it promptly afterwards. Feeling as if an odd suspense was killing her on the inside, a blurt of words scrambled from her maw. "I'm just saying that because I have a well organized memory!" The fae barked, settling herself on her rear end, but it was simply half a heart beat of relaxation, before she was already given a command. "Close my eyes-?" But her statement was interrupted by the intimidating stare of the lithe, alabaster tom cat. Shutting her eyes shut, Turtlepaw huffed softly until she heard the quietest of movements coming from all of her sides. Spinning her lithe body around constantly as she followed the sound of rustling branches, the tortoiseshell came to a stop as soon as the noise did. "Oh this is gonna be easy." She mrrowed, a large amount of determination in her tone, but to her surprise, it wasn't needed. Soon after her statement, the confident, mottled tortoiseshell began to trot slowly, and instantly began to pick up her pace before slammed muzzle first into an ominous tree stump, ending, as always, with an 'OOF'.

Jaggedstone couldn't hope to suppress the snort of laughter coursing through his slender upper body, even though it gave away his position. "I didn't mean for you to search for me with your eyes still closed," The slate tom commented wryly as he dropped from the branch's secure hold. He settled himself a pace or two away from the she-cat, in the same proximity perhaps a good friend would sit. He seemed to be at complete ease except for the nervous twitch of his tail's alabaster tip. "Most cats think that being the strongest, or most powerful, will make them victorious." The RiverClan warrior's mew was smooth, trickling from slightly unhinged silver and white jaws like water from an evergreen leaf. After the last bit, his maw widened to make way for a single, nearly inaudible chuckle, almost as if the warriors he'd mentioned were nothing more than a bad joke. "Sometimes," Jaggedstone continued, leaning towards Turtlepaw, "being silent helps more than anything else. How can you attack an enemy you can't even see?" RiverClan's smallest tom shrugged, and settled back onto his haunches with an air of satisfaction. He wasn't a bad mentor after all.

The young fae plopped down onto her rear end, shoulder hunched over and front paw placed against her forehead as gently rubbed it back and forth. "Arrgh." The apprentice groaned to herself as she perked her ears upward to the rustling from above. At least she got the correct tree. Feeling a 'thump' hit the ground signalized that the alabaster tom cat had dropped from his 'hiding spot', and managed to make his way beside the mottled tortoiseshell. Shifting her front paw from her throbbing forehead, Turtlepaw's pale green orbs trailed to the side to notice a strange, blurry bundle of figures shaking. "Ehehe," The apprentice chuckled softly. "3 Jaggedstone's.. How funny." The fae giggled to herself; Ears lowered at her skull in some what of an adorable manner. "The strongest.. I'm the strongest." The confused apprentice exclaimed, in a quiet tone. Though, what seemed to bring her back to life was the tom's, sweet as honey whispering tone. It was almost as if it were trickling down her ear drums, and beating from the inside. "Right.." Turtlepaw managed to say, struck in awe as she dozed onto her back, beginning to paw at her own ears.

What on earth was wrong with this apprentice? She made no sense at all. Though, he admittedly had no experience with playfulness. Jaggedstone sat back in confusion, his expression that of complete befuddlement. He'd always considered himself to be an intellectual, someone able to think quickly and on their feet, but something about Turtlepaw completely caught him off guard. While other felines conversed and 'got to know each other' through friendship, he found he could find out much more by sitting back and just watching. For instance, he knew about Crowwhisker's and Palestream's awkward mishap; the way they interacted now clearly stated something had happened, and the black she-cat's belly had recently begun to swell. A snort crumpled his muzzle towards the base, revealing two rows of clenched, pearly white canines as the memory passed in and out of consciousness. The young warrior shook his head as if to dismiss his thoughts. They were of little importance. He steeled himself against the blabbering tortoiseshell's appeal - she was appealing, no? - and focused instead on the matter at hand. When the tom spoke next, it was far from a soft, supple purr. "Focus," the tom snapped, the fur along his neck rising to meet the gradually dipping sun. "This is important. You wanted to train, so let's train." With each word, the blue-point's alabaster paws danced backwards towards the cover of the spreading elms above; he inwardly reveled in the shade and security they provided. "Again." Jaggedstone flew up into the trees, aiming to repeat the exercise until Turtlepaw was able to successful detect his location. Those beaming, steel-grey pools she found so alluring now fixated in an unnerving stare - he intended for her to close her eyes once more, then he would fly about the clearing from branch to branch as he had before.

The mottled tortoiseshell blank her pale green eyes rapidly as the three Jaggedstone's, slowing began to turn themselves into one, lithe, alabaster tipped Tom cat. Strapping back into reality, the felidae noticed that not only was the tom attemptin to get her attention, but with more force. She could easy see the hairs on the back of his neck shine in a glimmery way as the sun began to slowly set. Though after his actions, Turtlepaw, determinedly, picked herself up, not minding to brush off the splotches of mud and pebbles, firmly attached to her bristled fur. Promptly, the she-cat shut her eyes in a matter of a single heart-beat, and perked her ears in signalization of the tom's movements. She's get it this time, she was sure of it. Once the sound of shaking branches and leaves came together, the training would begin yet again. It was almost as if her eyes were narrowing, while keeping shut; Or perhaps her tension was overcoming her, and giving her face a more 'serious' look to it. Clearing her thoughts shortly afterwards, Turtlepaw paused once the rattling of branches had come to a hault. /F.o.c.u.s. Focus./ The mottled tortoiseshell would tell herself as she, this time, slowly began to search for traces of the tree with the most strongest scent of the slate colored Tom cat. Bringing herself to a hault, an intrigued grin curled onto her muzzle. This was the correct tree. Oh yes, it was. With that following; Turtlepaw bent her hind paws ever so slightly, and kept diagonally upward. Hooking her almost, filling grown claws I to the neck of the tree, the fae slowly began to climb up. It took her quite a while, considering she would have the occasional moments of falling back onto her butt, but at last, she grabbed ahold of the branch the Tom was perched on.

The pale tom had been seated on the very tip of an incredibly inclusive branch, so the fact that Turtlepaw was able to discover him so quickly earned several congratulatory purrs left rumbling thickly in his throat. When she, at last, managed to heave herself onto the branch, he startled himself by butting his foreign-shaped head against the mottled tortoiseshell's, the slightest of smiles teasing his maw. It was only by being this close he truly realized just how green her irises were. Jaggedstone found himself quite taken with them, as they seemed to swirl and gleam in the most curious fashion when light managed to break through the thick foliage above. A particularly light-weighted feeling overcame the blue-point, and for the first time in perhaps his entire life, the steely hue of his own pools softened. "Well done," He murmured, turning his face away from the apprentice's as if suddenly realizing the closeness of their proximity. Peering directly above him, the lithe RiverClan warrior's playful smile abruptly shot into an unruly frown. "I hadn't realized it'd gotten so late. We need to head back before anyone grows concerned."

The lithe fae stared up gracefully up at the tom's, steel, silver pools. Now they seemed even brighter with the sun settin fr behind. It quite intriguing to put with, but it was almost as if the mottled tortoiseshell had forgotten she was dangling from the sturdy branch. Her hind paws dangle awkwardly from beneath as she hooked her claws upon the branch to keep sturdy. Considering that Turtlepaw had a naturally, strong grip, she was able to haul herself atop the ominous branch, giggling to herself before feeling the gently butt of the head against hers. A flutter occurred in her stomach; As if frogs and butterflies were gracefully hopping and dancing about. But the moment seemed to end once the Tom tilted her head away. A curt frown twisted on her muzzle, but as usual, the fae promptly managed to turn it right side up. Tilting her to the side, Te felidae gazed in awe at the peachy, orange colored horizon. Perking her ears, Turtlepaw turned her attention back to the alabaster point Tom cat. "Hrm, I guess you're correct.." The fae mrrowed, tone light and easy, as if it floated with the warm breeze that brushed up against one's fur.

Several tentative shudders rippled through the lithe tom's athletic body as his mouth unhinged to reply. "Let's...head that..." Trailing off mid-sentence was Jaggedstone's absentminded way of dismissing his discomfort. The effect was rather comedic, actually, as it failed to yield any successful results. In short, the light-weighted feeling acted as if it didn't plan on going anywhere anytime soon. His midnight hued lips quirked in that slight smile once more, right before he took a carefully executed dive from the tree's hold back to the muddy riverbank-like floor. Such was the thinness of the mud that the warrior's alabaster paws sunk deeply into the ochre substance. "Sometimes," the Tom grumbled to no one in particular as he unstuck himself, "I really hate rivers." Jaggedstone shrugged, turning back to see if Turtlepaw had followed. With a delicate flick of his slate tail, the lanky tom began the long treck back to camp.

Lifting an eye brow with curiosity, the lithe fae seemed to have taken a large interest in the tom's, rugged, statement. Chuckling softly to herself, she watched with a manner of eagerness as the Tom flew down from the tree branch. Feeling a cool shiver run down her spine as the apprentice exhaled nervously, the she-cat never realized how far up the two cats were. Now she realize she had was afraid of heights. But who could blame her? I mean; It was her first time in a tree to start with. Feeling the hairs on the back of her neck stand up promptl, Turtlepaw gulped in an ominous amount of saliva, and with her will, lept off from the tree branch. One could say it was a daring decision for the young fae, but honestly, it was a shame to have seen where the mottled tortoiseshell has landed. Splashing down into a thick, brown, and yucky substance, Turtlepaw shrieked awkwardly with a mix in of saying, "Yuck!" Mud blotches stained from her paws to her muzzle. Now she was practically all, solid brown, with petite amounts of her cream pelt showing.

He hadn't gone five feet beyond his companion's line of sight when a small, piteous cry pierced the hazy air. No part of her exclamation conveyed she was in any sort of danger, and yet Jaggedstone's sleek, pale grey fur stood on end almost as soon as it reached his ears. He ran, no, he flew back to the training hollow expecting to see Turtlepaw collapsed or bleeding or /something/, but she was perfectly fine - simply covered in mud from the long leap down. Scowling, the slender warrior's frame weaved through mud puddle after mud puddle until he was at the young fae's side. The slate tom's neck curved in a low arch to where his head was level with hers. Only then did he move to rasp a small section of her mottled brown fur clean. In between each slow lick, Jaggedstone made to assure himself she was alright. "I didn't realize the jump was that far. I'm so used to trees myself, I guess I didn't think about you not being used to them. Stars, you're lucky there was a lot of mud below. That fall could have broken something if you had landed wrong. I wasn't thinking. I should think more. I'm sorry. I just..." Now wasn't this a curious sight? Jaggedstone - the calm, the assured warrior of RiverClan, rambling and making repetitive apologies? Infinitely stranger than that was his use of 'stars', rather than 'Star/Clan/'. Once he'd stopped blurting out ridiculous apologies and reasons, he stepped back from Turtlepaw's splattered form. Though it was difficult to see, a gentle rosy flush had touched the stern tom's cheeks.

The mottled tortoiseshell let out a low sigh as she stared, worthlessly at her mud stained fur. Although, what /extremely/ caught her off guard was the fact that she noticed a lithe, alabaster tom cat weaving his way through the many puddles of mud, almost at full speed, towards the fae. It was simply to stunning to be true. Jaggedstone. Sympathetic? No. But it was. The same shimmering, silver eyes gazed directly into her sea green pools as the moon light reflected off of his orbs. Though not only was that the case, he was, what? /Grooming/ her? Now /this/, was seriously a major shock. The shadowed warrior showing his soft side to the apprentice. But what promptly made her heart skip about 50 beats was when he began to babble about how sorry he was for leaving her. Was this some kind of joke? Honestly! "Wha-,' The she-cat stuttered, feeling her cheeks turn a bright, rosy red. "H-Heights." She managed to make up, pointing her tail upward towards the large branch, high above in the tree. Honestly, after a few heart beats, she couldn't remember what she was talking about, but simply the fact about what had happened a few moments ago.

Jaggedstone set his gaze determinedly downcast, as if hiding the - what he felt was - blatantly obvious blush discoloring the silvery hue of his sculpted cheekbones. "Anyway..." Awkwardly shuffling his front paws, the previously self-assured tom-cat slowly backed away from Turtlepaw's partially cleaned form towards the direction of camp. "There's no rush to get back to camp. Not unless you want to, anyway. We could hunt along the way." Obsidian maw askew in a dorky, playful smile, the young warrior's slate grey tail rose towards the moon, which had replaced the sun during the duration of...whatever that was. His playfulness was a facade - something to cover up what might have been flirtatious behavior. Flirtatious? Jaggedstone? Never.

Stepping out slowly from the mushy, pool of mud, Turtlepaw felt, for once, a warm shiver run down her spine. It seemed to h w given her goosebumps, but. It felt.. Good? Shakily releasing a puff of breath that she had been holding in, almost since she'd landed in the pool of mud, the apprentice weakly smiled. Perking her ears awkwardly upward, the mottled tortoiseshell chuckled softly. "Suurreee." The felidae mrrowed, not really paying attention to what she was responding to. Although, what caught her attention was that the, usually, emotionless tom's tone seemed; Hidden over something. Simply pushing her thoughts to the side, Turtlepaw slowly began to walk after the male. "Hunting, great. Sounds great." The fae added, accidentally using the word, 'great', twice as if unable to think of any other adjectives.
