"Right." As if directed by an internal, invisible compass, the blue-point found himself staring into one of RiverClan's few smaller, bubbling springs. Leaning forward, he was able to stare directly into his own reflection. Grey eyes, so unlike Grayfish's blue, stared unabashedly back. In them, he could see the grief smoldering like thick, toxic smoke behind the calm silver. The intensity of the emotions thinned, and thinned, and thinned, until it no longer existed - until it was no longer visible. Jaggedstone, like he'd done with so many other emotions that left him out of his element, closed off the raw part of himself. Perhaps it would never be seen again. With that done, he was able to focus on the little fish darting in and out of view, and feel the heat of the warm body next to his. His tail had risen into the air, and repeatedly bumped into Turtlepaw's - whether or not it was intentional, well. He'd never tell.

Skidding to a hault, even though slowly walking after the alabaster tipped tom cat, Turtlepaw found herself interested dearly. Tilting her head promptly to the side, the mottled tortoiseshell stared eagerly as the tom stared at his own reflection in a nearby spring. A weak frown showed upon the young fae's muzzle, until she managed to curl it into a partial smile. Walking up quietly beside the warrior, it seemed as if she were too late to make a single comment. Catching her attention was a sprawling fish that lept gracefully out of the water, and in. It was almost too odd to be true, for a first time's notice. Blinking her pale green eyes to clear her vision, it indeed, was true. But what caught her off guard was the constant bumping of a tail against her flank. Biting the inside of her lip, Turtlepaw turned her attention towards the tom. "Anything you want?" She questioned, eyeing the tom's, darker gray, tipped tail.

Jaggedstone, still overwhelmed by the momentary remembrance of his recently deceased elder sibling, merely shrugged and replied, "Surprise me," in the most toneless of mews. Dawning upon him was the realization that all of his family was dead. He was completely alone. Silver pools rising to meet the moon's glare, the warrior's expression broke. He was betting on Turtlepaw being distracted by hunting - that this lapse in composure would go unnoticed. A distruntled scoff stuck in his throat. StarClan. What a freaking joke. Who seriously believed their dead lived in the sky? What fools. Still, a small part of him hoped. Gazing at the sky, Jaggedstone allowed himself to wonder...was Grayfish up there? This time, the scoff vocalized into a soft huff of whispered air as the tom sighed, shaking his head. No. He was several feet under the ground, and gone forever. The blue-point tilted his chin in the splashing tortoiseshell's direction, having fixed his expression, and cocked the slightest of half-smiles.
